Industrial Furnace
Bogie Hearth Furnace IWO – 50 to 860 °C Forced Air Circulation
Professional Solution for Heavy Loads
The IWO bogie hearth furnace from NTH Therm is the preferred solution for heat treatment of large and heavy workpieces. Thanks to the drive-out bogie, batches can be loaded easily by forklift or crane, without crane movements inside the furnace.
Why the IWO Is the Right Choice
- Maximum loading flexibility: the bogie drives out, the batch is placed on it, the bogie returns
- Uniform temperature distribution through forced air circulation (< ±5 °C)
- Robust frame construction in powder-coated steel, stainless steel or heat-resistant material depending on temperature range
- Custom dimensions: from compact units to large-scale systems for loads of several tonnes
Technical Equipment (Standard Version)
Housing & Mechanics
- Robust powder-coated steel frame construction
- Manually operated bogie (electric drive optional)
- Floor-mounted rails, optionally flush-integrated
- Side-opening door
Heating & Insulation
- Heating elements in double walls
- Forced air circulation for uniform temperature distribution
- Chamber material depending on temperature: steel (<300 °C) / stainless steel (<500 °C) / heat-resistant (<860 °C)
- Door seal: silicone (<260 °C) or high-temperature fibre (360–860 °C)
Control & Safety

Frequently Asked Questions
What maximum load can the IWO bogie hearth furnace handle?
The IWO is designed specifically for heavy loads. The maximum load capacity depends on the system size and is determined during configuration. Typical systems handle 500–5000 kg.
Can the bogie be electrically driven?
Yes, the electric bogie drive is a standard option. This eliminates manual handling for heavy batches.
What atmospheres are possible in the IWO?
Air is standard. Inert gas connections (N₂, Ar) with flow meters can be optionally integrated to protect oxidation-sensitive materials.
How precise is the temperature distribution?
Through forced air circulation we achieve temperature uniformity of < ±5 °C within the usable chamber volume.
